Slow build

I recently moved from a 2001 5sp Maxima that I have had for about 10 years now totaled to a 2011 G37S 6MT . The maxima was relatively modded. Mostly handling, intake and exhaust.
Going from 225hp to 330hp is a huge jump for me so power mods will most likely be the last. From perusing the forums here, primarily Rochester's posts. I plan on starting with the following:

Drive:
RJM pedal (I thought it was just me not used to the 6spd until I found posts about this mod)...installed

Wheels/tire
19" Vossen
The CVT looks nice but I was more inclined towards the VFS-1 (supposedly lighter )
If someone has them on a sedan, please share pics

275rear / 245front Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position

Suspension
BC racing OR Stein
Eibach sway bar...installed
Spc rear camber
CUSCO FSTB....installed

Exhaust
Not sure about this one at all as I found out after installing a 3" cattman and y pipe on the maxima , it was a bit more noisier than I would like. Also found myself shifting at 4000rpm.
Most likely only mod here would be the
FI RHFC

Intake:
The stillen gen 3 seems to be the way to go here

Visual:

Tint 20% all around (planned for tomorrow)
Vinyl on the rear valence (plain black or Carbon fiber) OR AutokitX Diffuser
Visors: I like the functionality but not sold on the look
Roof spoiler
Bluebat rear lights overlay (remind me of the 5th gen stock blackened tail light)
OEM Front and Rear Spoiler

Feel free to suggest other mods.

Thanks

Updated newer car but will have same plan as before. I have transferred most of the parts to the new vehicle. Still debating whether to transfer the RJM Pedal. Somehow the '13 G37 pedal feels a bit lighter than the '11. I'll probably get bored on one of these summer weekends and just swap it.

The new car did not have splash guard so in the process of adding them back, I basically went full aero and purchased the front and rear spoilers as well.

awesome, have fun modding man. Headlights are a huge improvement too. Also front chin spoiler and rear deckled spoiler are very nice upgrades for appearance. Invidia Q300 is a very nice aftermarket exhaust that is not too loud and has zero rasp. Hotchkiss F&R sway bars are the best you can buy.

Enjoy man! this is a great platform to modify.

Nice list that you've compiled. I'd give a look at the Takeda cold air intake, seems to have better fitment and looks really nice w/ that centered filter behind the grill. I think they still have a group buy going on (in the group buy folder). Might also look at Work Emotion, Wedsport, and Rays Gramlites for their wheels as they have some nice lighter 19s too.
Look forward to seeing this come together, sounds like a nice plan!

Beetlejuice! LOL

Welcome to the forum, Marauder. Subbed to watch your slow build.

225 hp in that 2001... you had the Anniversary Edition. That was a special car. Particularly if you had the AE side-sills. Let's see a picture of where you were compared to where you are now. As best I can remember, the 3" Cattman was better suited to the 5.5 Gen with a tune, and yes... crazy loud.

I had a 2003 SE 6MT with the Cattman 2.5" catback, Cattman uneven-length Y-Pipe, and gutted pre-cats with an O2 Sim. I also had the NWP phenolic intake spacers, the NWP BOP and the NWP torque link, as well as the Racingling FSTB, Stillen RSTB and Progress RSB, with ES bushings everywhere. Coming from the Maxima world, all that stuff is probably pretty familiar to you.

That's just off the top of my head... it's been a while. (sigh) Good times.

Sounds like you're a hands-on guy, might have a look at this DIY for the tails, and if you need the vinyl templates I still have them.

I actually had the SE but swapped most of the AE version parts including the 5Spd VLSD Tranny. For mods i had:

Suspension: Eibach Springs Tokico illumina adjustable shocks Progress Rear Sway bar Otto Front Strut Bart Carnal_c30 Subframe collars Polyurethane engine mount inserts and frame
350z Rays Track Ed. Wheels
Power train: VLSD transmission swap Fidanza light weight flywheel Exedy stage 2 clutch
Intake/Exhaust: Greddy Evo2 catback exhaust (removed)
Injen cold air intake Warpspeed y pipe Cattman 3" Catback Cattman Fastcat
Exterior: Stillen Full body kit Stillen SS grill Lexus yellow capsule fogs retrofit Clear side marker lens Polarg side lights
Brakes
Stillen BBK Caliper set (pending install)
5.5th gen headlights (pending install)

Next plan was to add a supercharger...sadly.

Final Day!! :-(

As I remember it, the 2000-2001 was rated (marketed) as a 222 hp car, whereas the AE had a small bump, at 225 hp... that's what I was getting at.

Very nice set of mods, there. Always a shame seeing a cared-for car get totaled. Glad you're OK.

Yeah that sucks your car got smashed up. I love the 02-03 Max 6speeds. Those are with a VLSD were awesome. For FWD they were hard to beat. However, you've graduated to the next level with your G. Props to you man. I had a 07 Altima 3.5SE before this car and I'm glad I made the jump. I was going to turbocharger the Altima and go VLSD with lightweight flywheel and ACT clutch, etc etc., but just couldn't devote that kind of money to a FWD platform.

First thing...Maintenance.
I had the vehicle checked at the Infiniti dealership and apparently I needed to replace most of the fluids. ...Total after tax ~700. I probably would have saved some doing most of this myself but I just don't have the time right now...

Power Steering Flush 135.13
Brake Fluid Flush 140.88
Differential Oil 104.20
MT Fluid 179.19
