Just installed a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport DW in 255-40 on my 19" Sport wheels. Added 20mm H&R spacers. Combined with Eibach Pro springs, car is sitting very nicely. Pics to come.

Very nice! I like what you did with the center caps. Subtle but catches the eye.

I went out to start the car the other day and it just kept cranking but never started. I disconnected the ground wire from the battery for 20 minutes or so, reconnected and tried again. Same thing - cranked but would not catch. Called AAA and had it towed to the dealer. They diagnosed a bad battery and replaced it. I never would have thought a bad battery would have enough juice to crank the starter but still would not start the car. Lesson learned.

Stealership recommended a whole slew of fluid changes and a new serpentine belt. I thanked them and politely asked for the bill for just the battery. The Diagnostic Fee plus battery cost came to $331. So it was an EXPENSIVE lesson learned. Ugh...

Update: I got rear ended while at a stop light. The woman was very apologetic and turned out to have the same insurance company as me. The shop had to replace the rear bumper cover and swap over the sensors and mudflap/spoilers. Total insurance bill was $1500+.

When I got it back, I decided to install all of the sound deadener I've had waiting to go in. So far, I've completed the trunk and have enough to do the doors (I think). I need to order a bit more to complete the back seat and side panels. I'm impressed with the results so far.

I wanted to go ceramic, but I can't do anything to the paint on the bumper for 90 days while it cures.

I pulled the plastic roof rails and cleaned/refurbished them. They were looking very gray.

Not too much else to mention. Been getting 3 months to the gallon since COVID!

UPDATE:

Installed sound deadener in the doors. The only remaining area to do is the floor. While I do notice a difference, there is still a LOT of tire noise getting into the cabin from my Continentals. Will doing the floors help a lot with that?

I installed the TBW Aluminum Undertray. The plastic one was beat to hell and hanging low, so I replaced it with the TBW unit. Very happy with the results. AWD version: https://www.tbwperformance.com/awd-2...er-tray-black/

We have the 17 year Cicadas here in the Mid-Atlantic now. It seems like my car has become The Executioner for these things! Will need to do a deep clean of the entire front end!

Looks like we will be going back to work in the next month or 2. So much for not putting mileage on the G!

I was able to sell the wheels/tires locally.

Just replaced the Continental ExtremeContact DW tires with Michelin PS4 in the same measurements (255/40-19) and got the car aligned at Cruisin-Gold in Melbourne, FL. Very happy with the tires and the service. Its nice to have fresh rubber on the car.

Purchased new hood lifts as the old ones were on the verge of collapsing. Also picked up a set of plugs and a serpentine belt for some 117K maintenance. All from Z1 Motorsports--fast shipping!

O/T: I was able to source some OEM AP1 headlights for my 23 year old S2000 BNIB!! Can't wait to put them in!

Drove the car back to MD for a funeral. Man, every time I think about selling it, I drive it and fall in love all over again!

That's the upside of owning car that's no longer a daily driver.

The downside is asking yourself why you still own this car.

I posted this in a thread discussing replacement filters for the R2C Intakes

(Original thread here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/intake-...ml#post4329721)

I wanted to add to this post that AEM part # 21-201DK is a good replacement part for the R2C Black Hex filters. To answer the poster above, the flange area is molded to hold the (included) clamp in place. Please excuse the dirty engine bay -- I'll be cleaning it very soon so I can show off these new filters! I kinda like how they go with my grounding kit cable wrap.
