I've been fixing up a 98' integra LS i bought on eBay for cheap and plan to finish the last few things to flip it and put the extra cash towards some G upgrades.
I have a 17 year old son who may be in the market for a set of wheels soon. Please keep me posted on your progress. Got any pics?
There are a bunch of us in the Philly/Bmore/DC corridor. We really need to get a Mod Day together! I would offer my place, but I only have a one car garage and driveway space is limited. Still....I think it could be worked out.

I'll try and snap some pics of the Teg later today. It ended up being more of a project than I expected but Honda/Acura's are easy to work on and parts are inexpensive. Whomever owned it before didn't care for it like they should. I ended up putting new axles/steering rack/tie rods/sway bar bushings/shocks/H&R sport springs/trailing arm bushings/front and rear camber kit/rear LCA's/rotors/pads/calipers/yonaka catback/pace setter header/full tune up/ DC sports intake/Rage 16" wheels w/new tires/all fluids flushed and a bunch more. Im in the process of prepping front and rear bumpers and type r wing for paint. Then fingers crossed it'll just need aligned and inspected.
I've been trying to figure out who is all in the general PA,MD,DC area as I'm south central PA right near Harrisburg. I don't see to many modded G coupes around, a few 35's but even they are few and far between lately. Plenty of sedans but the ones I've seen are clearly not hobbyists.
I am really impressed with the looks and sound of this intake. Stay tuned---I've got parts piling up in the garage!
No better feeling looking at all those piled parts except for actually finally getting the chance to seeing them installed! Best of luck bud I'm really excited to see how this build turns out!
I'm in Shrewsbury, just south of York. Exit 4 on I83.
Nice, I'm in Mechanicsburg less than 10 min from I83 exit 41
Here's a couple quick shots of the Teg, once paint is done with the bumpers type r wing & lip it'll need a good buff and polish but then I think it'll look pretty good.
I hate incandescent bulbs. The rear turn signals are the only non-LED bulbs in the tail lights (sidemarkers excepted) and I had to change them out. I had a set of vleds units from the Acura so I decided to dig in.
I looked at the FSM and inside the trunk and thought, "This looks pretty easy". Heh-heh, famous last words. Those two pin thingies on the outboard side of the tail light unit were fighting me. Finally took a rubber mallet and got them out.
The plan was to remove the OEM bulbs, insert the LED units, hook up resistors and zip it all back. Well, I found no room up behind the tails for the resistors. No matter---I traced the wires through the trunk metal and found a place to tap inside the trunk. You want the large green and large black wires for your resistor. Mount the resistor on the trunk wall out of the way.
Here are the pics: This is the tail assembly off the car with the LED bulb ready to install.
This shows the female portion of the outboard pins that gave me so much trouble. You can see the mallet in the trunk!
Here is where you tap the wires for the resistor. Look for that white clip on the trunk wall.
Nice clean electrical work! I enjoy electrical stuff and always appreciate well tapped, run, and hidden wiring. I'm interested to see what you do with your headlights.
LOL!
The XXRs are not bad wheels, IF you keep the tires a few pounds over pressure. If you hit a pothole at 32psi, you will crack a wheel every time. On the TL, I went through 3 wheels in addition to my original purchase---one cracked but was covered under warranty. Another cracked much later (see above about tire pressures) and one was curbed badly by my daughter (new driver).
On the whole, it was not a bad experience. But I hear ya Venom.
Aside from the current Volks on my G I've used nothing but stocks on both my cars and have had to deal with zero cracks or issues worse than a slight bend. Cheap sets just have never been worth the additional effort. Nonetheless, we live and learn.
Now, time for a meme since your comment made me think of it...
Meh, not interested in the DD Tail as Turn unit. I'm pretty much done with the rear lights. Front lights are waiting for parts right now. I hope to have them done in time for the panda Junction Meet this weekend.
I like the Meisterschaft---a friend has one on his M3.
