Your floor mats look good. I was debating on trying to make my own iron-on patches with the Skyline font or just get some Nismo mats. I'm still undecided about the logos on the seats since the JDM seats were just plain leather. There's a good upholstery shop near me that I was thinking about taking my seats to them to see if they could cut out the part and put in section that matches the leather that came with it.
Also for the radio, I was debating on seeing if the shop supervisor at the Nissan dealership would sign off on trying to flash the 370Z software onto the radio since the unit should basically be the same between the cars. I don't know if it's VIN locked before they can do anything in their system though, but I also don't really like the color and layout of the 370Z radio software so I dunno. There's a shop in Russia that will flash whatever onto the head unit with updated maps, so I was thinking about seeing if they would install the JDM software with their translation patch and see if they can get North American maps on it even though I never use the car's actual GPS.
I got a chance to put the 370GT patches on my floor mats and they turned out well. (You do have to be very careful not to melt the carpet as well) So now all the mats are done and I have the steering wheel airbag cover on order as well as all of the badges for the trunk and all the paint and vinyl I should need. My plan is to paint the Nissan badge gloss black and the Nissan letters white. Then I will wrap the Skyline letters in gloss black vinyl and probably the 370.

Those look OEM! Good job on the DIY. Did you remove the old iron on patches, or did you iron it over the existing ones?

Thanks. I don't think any Nismo mats will fit our cars. If you are talking about 370Z Nismo mats, they don't line up with the G37 sedan.
Your seats should be fairly straight forward to unstitch the area with the Infiniti logo and stitch back in a blank piece of leather. One thing I was very seriously considering (if I had not replaced my seats entirely) was to replace the center sections of the seat back and bottom with suede inserts so they would not be so cold in winter and hot in summer. It probably would not cost a whole lot more to do that if you are interested and you wouldn't slide around as much either.
That's a good idea about the 370Z software. I never thought about that. Let me know if that works.

Thanks. I could not figure out a way to get the old ones off without damaging the carpet, but I may take a closer look at that to see if it is possible because the patch on my driver's side came loose. I don't think the patches bond as well to other patches as they do to exposed carpet.
Floor mat switcheroo part 2: This time I decided to try Gorilla glue. It seems to have adhered the patch much better and was a lot easier to do without any risk of melting the carpet with a hot iron. If anyone tries this trick with patches to change up your floor mats, I would skip the iron on part and just go right to a strong glue/fabric glue. The weights rested on top of the patch to help the glue bond.
So this is odd. My rear rotors that I painted the hats flat black late last year began to show rust on the edges. I thought it was coming through the paint, but it turns out it is on top of the paint?? I wiped off the rust and added a few more coats of flat black high temp. paint. I am not having the same issue on the front rotors that I painted with exactly the same paint.

Rusty
Fixed (for now)
try giving them a light sanding, clean them and spray them again.
I want to say it is just brake dust from the rotors getting wet, but it does not make sense that I don't have the same problem on the front. Looks like another case for...
Alright! I got my new plates- SAVE THE MANUALS. I think these will go along with the new Skyline badging a little bit better. Just waiting for emblems and my steering wheel cover to arrive now. A year or two ago I upgraded the screws to stainless steel, but one of the rear screw threads somehow rusted solid to the bolt. Bad news because I have a metal plate frame so I had to drill it out. Not too difficult, but it takes time and be careful because your drill bit and parts will be red HOT! Ouch!
