$21,600... wow. That certainly worked out well for you. Congrats!

I honestly was not expecting you to get anything over $20,000, maybe $16,000 at max. Then I saw the bid history and people started a war in the last 3-5 hours. $21,600 is more than enough to swap in a Hellcat engine into a Jeep Gladiator instead of spending $200,000 like my neighbor across the street did on a Jeep Gladiator with a Dodge Demon engine at Barrett-Jackson.

iDK, he was being realistic about the asking price, considering the mods, which certainly limits the potential market. I sold my 6mt sedan for $16, with wayyyy less mods and a couple cosmetic blemishes.

There have been a couple guys in the past that posted similar cars but with laughable asking prices. Having 10k in JDM carbon fiber trim pieces doesn’t translate to selling price lol

Thanks guys! It was an interesting process as it sat for the entire week at the second bid which was much lower than the final selling price. However, I was getting lots of questions about the car so I thought there might be more interest than what was reflected in the bids. The last two days I just got hammered with questions, but still no other bids. I was really preparing to list it on AutoTrader later today.

Fortunately, the bids really took off in the last hour and especially the last 15 minutes. When you put that much work into a car you never feel like you get enough for it, but I feel like it was a fair price. It is a bit bittersweet because I made the mistake of driving it to work yesterday and forgot just how awesome it is to drive. I'll miss it, but I know the next car is going to be even more awesome. It's been fun guys.

To be fair, ebay is like that too. No interest, then boom, a crazy flurry of bidders

For that price you'll get something that will bring a smile again.

Fun fact, your car is on screen in a video by Doug that'll end up with a million views. Not many people can say that about their car, even if it is only on screen for a couple seconds lol. Time stamp doesn't seem to work so skip to 35 seconds in the video.

Nice catch! I thought my car was special because he actually wrote a short feature in my listing and at the time there was only one other car with his review. However, shortly thereafter I noticed he wrote reviews for a few more newer listings for cars that were not terribly unique.

Good question. I thought he referenced my build thread a few times. Then again, I could be wrong because I literally got asked hundreds of questions about my car while it was for sale and the screen names are starting to blur together from cars & bids.
