I got my new wheels mounted. Ferrada FR2 19x10.5 + 25 square on 245/35/19 tires. Surprisingly, the ride has not changed drastically from my previous setup. The 245s on the 10.5's are lighter than my forged Rays with 275s. The car feels more agile on it's feet.I still have not completely air'd out the suspension yet because I am afraid my wheel will hit the fender. I have SPC arms in the garage waiting to be installed to dial her in.

Wheels look hot on that white G, nice choice there! Any pics down the side at ride height? How are you liking the new fitment?

So, it's roughly this. I have to have it on the high side because of the Motordyne muffler being dragged everywhere. This was shot in Austin and I went through downtown without a struggle. I'm loving the fitment and new look. I'm getting a whole lot more attention now locally.

Ah, just how I wanted to spend my Sunday morning! The Muteki SR48's with an impact cross threaded 3 studs on my wheels. I've read hit or miss with this color, mine was a miss. $80 down the drain. I picked up a set of Gorilla lugs instead. The face of my wheel really does not show off the lug nuts well so I decided to pass on Project Kics or Work branded lugs. For what it's worth, the rear studs are about an hourish job total. That was my first time taking off the rotor/caliper on the rear.

Damn, what a PITA, at least your finger was pointing away from us

I've heard some issues w/ the Mateki nuts, I've had Gorillas on several vehicles over the years w/ no problems ever. Of course I never use impacts on them and specifically request hand torque on any wheel jobs (although I almost always keep a shop from touching my wheels, except for mount/dismounts).

Agreed. There are some really appealing lug nuts out there, but soft aluminum, and stories just like the OP's.

The cores on my McGards are steel, with a floating aluminum seat. Best of both worlds, IMO.

I decided to hold off because I am very happy with my fitment. The lip comes right to the fender and I think it looks great when I air out. Take a look..

, on Flickr

The gorillas did just fine with an impact on them a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for the suggestions Brad + John.
