MaQG37's G37 Build and new Q50 Red Sport Build

I recently purchased a 13' G37S in the exact configuration I wanted about a month ago. It's been a long time searching but I was able to come across this one with 18k on the clock. The general direction I am going with this car is OEM + with daily driving in mind.

As far as my background goes, I've owned a 98' Nissan Maxima which I've quickly modded from essentially stock to something unique to me. The G37 sedan was the perfect next step.

My first priorities for the car were a HFC/Test Pipe mated to a muffler delete. I had the muffler delete done a few days later with a new set of tips.

But my plans quickly changed when I came across a local on this board selling a pair of R2C intakes and a Invidia Q300. I was getting a great deal and couldn't pass up the opportunity! I will be installing the Q300 this weekend.

I also got the front lip as well from Austin Infinti :JAMIN:

Very nice! S is the only way to go!

Nice score on the Intake & exhaust, looks like you're off to a good start, keep up the good work!

Subbed.

I suspect the 4th Gen forum is going to miss you on the Org. But man, did you make the right move. The G isn't the fastest car on the road, neither is it the most luxurious... but it's a solid, rewarding car, and a good modding platform that you're going to enjoy for years.

I also think you moved a little quick on that Invidia axle-back... but if your point was to get shiny cans and techno tips that look better than OEM, then mission accomplished.

Welcome to the forum.

Yeah, it's a huge upgrade from the maxima. I had a i4 accord after the maxima so the power difference was phenomenal. Although, it doesn't feel like the car has 328hp at the crank. I'd blame the weight of the car. I actually got the Invidia cat-back for essentially the price of an axleback. I was going to wait later down the road to get a ARK/FI catback but this deal was great and the mufflers look so good.

3700 pounds isn't exactly lightweight, so although your 6MT is a kissing cousin to the 370Z, you can feel the pounds. Fortunately, that weight also feels very well balanced. Plus, the VQ37HR has a smooth and steady power curve, so while you can run mid-13's in that 6MT (on a good day), it's going to feel pretty steady getting there.

Step One: Get a set of aftermarket swaybars on that car.

Actually, in your case that would be Step Three. :p

This is accurate, the car feels very steady in the upper RPM's. I'm curious to see how replacing the OEM cats and a tune make. The swaybars are definitely on my list. My tires also need to be replaced soon too so I have to accommodate for that.

I've got awesome friends ! Lift access for the catback made it a whole lot easier. May even try the removal of the OEM cats since I have this access. The fitment of the Q300 is perfect. This exhaust is very quiet. My R2C's scream much louder than the exhaust in cabin. Outside the car, the Q300 has a very modest growl.

Finally adjusted everything on the shift knob, this weighted knob feels great and didn't break the bank. Blox 490 Spherical Platinum

That front lip makes a huge difference. Sweet money well spent.

Thanks, it really does.

I got my VLED V3 Triton's in for the front turn signals. How I miss having crisp LED blink rates.

I also replaced my reverse LED so I could actually see things at night with the camera. The right is a 1.5 year old VLED that I had used for a license plate light on my old accord. The left is a new Samsung LED got off eBay for $6.

A little update, I did a custom LED DRL with a little help from a member here named ShellZ. I think it matches my VLED switchbacks pretty well.

I also got a great deal on these 370z forged rays. The fronts need spacers, and the rear poke a bit. But, this will just give me more motivation to get suspension. :DOMO:DOMODOMODOMO

Another nice score, great upgrade on the wheels and the DRLs look proper too!
