In order to do that, the tune would have to reduce the minimum delta between sensor readings to the smallest number possible in the code, after which you satisfy the constraint by pulling one of the sensors slightly out of stream... which is the typical solution for high-flow cats.

Obviously, if your state still sniffs for tailpipe emissions, it's a fail. But I don't think any states still do that... do they? That started as a California thing decades ago, but didn't really catch on nationally, because it was a PITA and expensive for shops to qualify.

In disclaimer I'll say AFAIK. I'd be happy to have someone tell me I'm full of **** and this is how it really works.
At least for CA, if you clear the CEL, the car has to be driven a good 45 minutes your you'll fail smog. For the moment, anything newer than '05 doesn't get hooked up while they wait for new test equipment but they 'did' hook up the sniffer before when running the tests so CEL or not, emissions would not have passed. Likely, when the new equipment comes in it will include the sniffer. This IS California.

I guess you'd have to be a Nissan tech to know for sure, but I believe it's a combination of run-time, distance, and number of times the engine was restarted.

Again, just a guess. And probably different from one model to the next, manufacturer, etc.

Thanks John. You know by finding the headlights, a new front bumper, and some other items needed for the repairs off of EBay and a seller that RexHavoc hooked me up with...I was able to get ahead on my body shop estimate by $3500. So after the $1000 deductible and some negotiation on the shop doing my grill painted as a midnight grill, installing a CF front splitter (plus clear coating it), and installing a rear OEM spoiler I'm still up $2240! Unbelievable. Best wreck I've ever had by FAR. Still have to use around $600 to get my wheel lips refinished back to the normal Vossen finish tho.

Oh and I'm still gonna have 2 headlights (1 just needs the plastic piece on top replaced) and a slightly F-Ed up front bumper FS afterwards.

That's a very positive way to look at it. And the hit in resale value becomes irrelevant, as long as you keep your car for the long haul.

Glad this incident is turning out much more positive than you initially thought. Hope everything continues going well for you and your vert. Those light are going to look great, and have you test fitted the spoiler just to make sure it was indeed the right version?
With that extra cash have you thought about lowering?

Def gonna keep this G as long or longer than I kept the G35. Which was 8 years and it still only had 77,000 miles on it. So I'm in for the long haul no doubt about it. That's one of the main reasons I've chosen to mod this G so quickly. Bc now I know how durable & reliable the Infiniti brand is. I might as well drive exactly what I want if I'm going to be sitting in it for the better part of a decade right!?

Stand still exhaust sound Video to come this evening I swear AroundTheG37

Dang Red, you're making serious progress nicely done!

I'll check with David over at Pickett Fitment to see if there is a tuner in Memphis he would suggest. I know Brandon went to Z1 and David is running an RB in his S2k but there should be someone around I would hope. At least if you're RWD, AWD not so much.

A slight drop and you'll be looking proper. Hit up Adam over at Race Consulting Agency if you're looking for springs or any suspension parts, they'll price match and shipping is almost always included in the price match. Though if you're thinking coilovers you may want to check with Juan, I think he has a set of used KWs in hand. Otherwise I don't think Adam's pricing on Stance can be beat, with a little negotiation he was also the lowest around on Swifts when I bought them.

Ok Rex I'll wait for your word on a tuner. And I'll def look into Adams bc I certainly don't want to live up to my new nickname "Gappy" lol.

Btw I can't run any coils other than the BC coils. They are the only ones that work on the Vert. But I've heard some things about coils like "noise" and ride comfort that worry me. Nothing but good to great things about the swifts springs tho so far so that's what I want right now. Between the $400 for swifts, $500 for a tune, $370 for sway bars, and the $500-$600 to fix my wheel rash tho it seems as if I'd burn thru my excess insurance $$ super quick. I'm gonna have to get the wheels fixed and then choose the biggest bear I have to handle on that list. Springs or sways or tune

Jerry (Kuro) is the freakin MAN! He's responsible for....

I got a killer deal tonight guys! Found a MINT used set of VSXX in burning black. Exactly what I've been searching for. They come with a brand new set of V12 tires, McGuard spline lugs, and work center caps.

The funny thing is I was planning on buying a new set Tom morning. After I return the tires I have in my garage I'll only have $2500 in this entire package deal. So once I get my insurance check back and sell my CV4's (as is or fixed) I'll basically be getting paid to buy these wheels n tires lol.
BEST WRECK EVER!!!

No fake bolts there, that 3-piece Work Wheel is the real McCoy. Impressive, Red. I mean, the Vossens were nice, but these rims are bragging rights. Between the two, the polished Vossens were a classy look. These Works in gun-metal look far more serious.

Looking forward to the pics. I think it's going to look fantastic.
