The fitment looks pretty off on the CF trunk. Or is it just the picture?

What CF trunk lid is it?

I think seibon but not sure I'll find out and it was just a rough fit meant to see what it looked like. He still has to drill all the holes for mounting and wires

Meh... only car i like from your previous builds is the silver scooby...the rest are meh...especially the srt-slow .

No I sold all of them unfortunately. But yes the silver Subaru was my favorite and I regret selling it everyday

Are there major benefits to doing the M37 UIM? This is the first I've seen/read about it. Might be something I'd have to look into doing myself.

Can't wait to watch the progress of this build.

Hello Samuel,

There are indeed benefits to doing the M370 Upper Intake Manifold. Just to be clear, this is not the manifold off an M37, it is a new manifold made by Motordyne.

You can find specific threads detailing members' experiences with the manifold if you use the search function at the top of the page. Briefly, it is one of the better bolt on mods for the G37 if you're chasing horsepower, and it is compatible with turbo and super builds.

That was refreshing. Someone on a forum guiding another member in the right direction without being a complete tool about it.

I did try searching it, but since I was searching "M37 UIM Install" it makes sense that I didn't get any results.

AFAIK, Motordyne took the UIM off the VQ35HR and bolted that mounting plate, which aligns the holes for the VQ37HR. I believe that's the extent of the magic. As for the physics behind the magic... I suppose there is a different air volume with the older UIM that plays nicely with the 3.7 when tuned.

If you look closely, you can see I'm talking out of my azz. But there's probably some truth in there too, if only a little bit.
