LOLURMAD's Build Thread

First day I got the car, same day as my friend got his.

Little photoshoot first day.

Plast dipped the rear valence in black

Got Tanabe Axleback exhaust, pic taken right after installation

Plasti dipped the grill black

Decided to do a DIY on the rims, plasti dipped them myself. Came out better than i thought.

Installing my painted headlights with black housing.

Took a quick pic next day after headlights were installed.

Bath time

My carbon fiber Autokits-X diffuser finally came in. Also installed TopSpeed Pro-1 exhaust and BERK HFC

Sold the diffuser, and swapped tail lights for these GTR style lights. Also removed "INFINITI" lettering

Time for another DIY :P

Tail lights redone, painted black.

Oneighty headlights installed, with LED orb. As well as black grill with color matched emblem and color matched fog light covers.

That's all for now folks. Will update as I go along!

Looks really good man! I know people hate on plasti dip, but I think it looks really good.

Looking better & better MAD, like the new grill much better than the PDipped version, taillights look nice along w/ the headlight features.
Did you have fitment issues w/ the diffuser or just didn't like the look?
IMO the G37S off the trunk would clean up the tail a bit, but it's all good my friend
Any other mods on your list, like new wheels??

I strongly disliked what you were doing at first, but really liked where you ended up. That first-pass, full black grille looked backyard cheap. And the CF rear diffuser looked horrible (IMO).

But then you kept going, ditching that CF rear end for a cleanly painted rear valance, tastefully modded headlights, and that newly painted front grille... wow! I've never seen that before; (blacking out the slats while painting the perimeter car-color.)

Can't stop staring at this grille. Impressive idea, LOLURMAD. Was it yours, or did you see this elsewhere? Either way, looks very nicely done.

Thank you guys!

@blnewt: No fitment issues with the diffuser, I just preferred the painted valence look more for some reason. Fitment was perfect on the diffuser actually. Don't think I'll be getting new wheels, have a new car in mind

@Rochester: Haha thanks man, the plasti dipped rims and grill were only the temporary solution. And the grill was actually ONEighty's idea not mine, so I take no credit for it . But I love how it looks.

Well it was a brilliant idea either way. Sure would like to see a bunch of photos of that grille... close-ups, various angles, etc.

Yours is the first 2010+ G-Sedan that I've seen with the grille customized like that, and I'm really liking it. Since I also have a Moonlight White Sport, it certainly does speak to me.

Grill looks awesome. This car really looks good in white, especially with the platidip.

Cool. I got a quote back from 180Custom. It's pricey, and there's 2-way shipping costs, but they've got a heck of a great reputation. I'm also looking for some local paint talent to do the work, if the savings are significant.

I showed your pictures to a bunch of friends, and they all agreed: best 2010+ sedan grille mod they've ever seen. Only change is I'm pretty sure I'd keep Mt. Fuji in chrome while my headlight lenses are still OEM.

Sounds like you've got some new ideas for your G, or you've just been keeping it tight to the vest. Looking forward to hearing what you've got planned (although I'll be expecting some pics in 2015)
180 does incredible work, I'm sure you'll be happy w/ the results.

MAD, have you considered Rochesters' idea of the vinyl inserts for your wheels, IMO that would be a great look for what you've got going thus far.

Not sure what you mean by vinyl inserts for me wheels? Do you have a reference pic?
