Atco drag way this Monday mar 5th

TheShopCT has rented the track for the day. I'm in.

I'm working a photo show all weekend, so this will be a great fun break.

I hope that's the only 'break' that happens... Lolz!

Car is runnning like Jack the Bear. Let's find out.

I'm leaving now. We did what we came for:

11.69
11.70
11.80 all on my street boost.

One pass on the high boost setting...

11.43 @ 125.68

Still more inside. breaking up with original plugs from last April.

BIG props to Visconti Flash, The Shop, and Level Ten.

Awesome job. The 125mph trap is really showing the power.

(The date is wrong, but there's no funny business going on.)

^^^ I made one pass on the 590whp boost setting, which netted me the above. It wasn't that great either. Not my best 60', and it was breaking up. (Original build one-year-old plugs with a wide gap.)

Pretty darn good. Solid three tenths better than previous.

I have an in-car video and John (Visconti-Flash), grabbed the outside vid with his iPad. I'll compile them when I get his file and the time.

JimmyK the owner of The Shop brought his street GTR to git-r-done. He ran 9.31@152 w/1.47" 60'. His is now the 7th quickest GTR according to Drag Times.

We had a good outing.

^^^ The trans is one of the reasons it was going so quick. It really is biting hard. Great work.

Jim, do you know what your race weight is with you in it? Gotta be close to 4000lbs?

Nahhhh. It can't be that heavy. It's completely OEM, and I even left the spare in.

I am guessing 3500 lbs? What's a stock G37? I've never known. It's probably a bit heavier with the two turbos and intercooler stuff, but that's reduced by some of the lighter exhaust.

Your going to be shocked then.....

Stock curb weight for a G37S 5AT is about 3650lbs.... Add an additional 50-60lbs for the TT system etc, then add your body weight......

Very very possible yep. According to math... and a estimated 3950 race weight, he's also putting down about 565-570hp to the wheels and about 680-700hp at the crank on his 125.68mph run!!!!

Stock internals motor... These VQ37's are amazing more and more each day.... I am picking up my 09 coupe today, and have been trying to decide on which system I want to install on mine... If I can swing it this summer, I will start the build right around June or so.

Damn Coop,
Big props to you and the crew!
Looks like the trans is really doing its job.
Your just making it harder and harder for me. Lol!
If you can get that 60ft down to the 1.60's you will be golden and in the 10's.
Great job guys!
Call me when you get a chance I want to hear it first hand .

Don't think I wasn't chuckling about your project and it's impending threat! LOLZ!

Go for it. I'm still waiting for a dropbox file of John's video. It will be clear and filled with "Yeah buddy's!"

Car sleeps off the line for these times. I'm giving away three tenths. But... the consistency is gratifying.

Thanks.
