Removing calipers when replacing brakes and rotors

Hey guys,

I am in the process of replacing all 4 brake pads and rotors on my 09 g37s. All the videos I have watched, the person doesn't disconnect the caliper. I would like to clean up my calipers. I noticed some wear on the piston seals so I want to reseal the calipers as well. This would all be easier if the calipers were disconnected from the brake lines. I already plan to use the Phoenix system tool to bleed the brake lines. So my question .. is there any harm or risk in disconnecting the calipers if I am bleeding the brake lines anyway?

Thanks 😀

None at all. Just cap off each brake line as you remove the caliper to prevent spillage of brake fluid and also to prevent moisture from creeping into the line.
