Tire and wheel sizing concerns

I have the 2012 G37s sedan meaning it does have the big brakes. Right now I have BC coilovers and Ferrada FR2 wheels.

Current specs (best I could gather with what I have):
FRONT: 19x8.5 235/40/19 +35
REAR: 19x9.5 255/40/19 +40

I'm looking into buying some Variant wheels and they are worrying about offsets but there's a lot of uncertainty when it comes to fitment. I want to be either flush or tucked on coils right now but plan to go to air in the future. The wheels I want only come on 20". The recommendation I got most recently was:

FRONT: 20x9 255/35/20
REAR: 20x10 275/35/20

They said that they would be a little aggressive on coils and tuck better on air.

Any experiences/thoughts on this? I don't want the fitment looking stupid until I get air. I also would prefer not to stretch tires.

Tires shouldn't be stretched but the fitment is difficult to say without the offset

I think it'll be around 20 to 25 based on other tucks but variant won't share offsets before purchase.

Offset is the main thing to look at when buying wheels. Red flag if they dont share the specs. Is it is in the 20 range that will be more aggressive than you think. Wheels will be poking on front and alot in the rear.I would personally find a different wheel, they probably dont have your figment that's why they dont give you the specs

Nope not in this case. They do it so people can't order wrong then return, meaning if it's wrong I'll be charging it back if they don't replace. And the 20 to 25 is my guess based on Fitment Industries gallery.

Nice post. Also a S sedan looking to buy wheels + tires.

FRONT: 19x8.5 245/40/19 +35
REAR: 19x9.5 275/35/19 +40

A Little bit wider tires, but I guess should fit without issues?

I think so.

My latest plans have moved a bit..

19x10 +25 square (I'm RWD sedan with Akebono).
245/35/19

The front will apparently poke by 5-7mm until I'm on air but it can be reduced some with camber.
