Help stripped lower strut bolt

so my wife hit a curb the other day going about 20mph destroyed the wheel got the car towed home I assessed the damage check everything the impact threw the alignment off and damaged the lower ball joint so I ordered the lower control arm assembly going to take everything apart and the lower shock nut that connects to control arm and sway bar link 🔩 was on super tight I used PB blaster let it sit then came back to it with a breaker bar and it stripped/rounded i know there is a extractor bit but would my local auto parts store carry the bolt i stripped = 08g37S coupe

I doubt that a parts store has that nut.

Its a flange nut. Not sure if its JIS type or just normal Metric.

Looks like a M12 JIS to me...but..its just a photo.

Automotive fasteners are virtually all C10.9 designation.

But...it looks to be zinc coated (not plated).

There's a lot going on. Best bet is to buy from a dealer.

Before the bolt exteractor route....you can try to remove it with a 6pt socket (assuming you were using a 12pt before).

Make sure you're using a metric socket. Some SAE sockets will seem like they fit...but they will strip.

Holy crap, ever heard of punctuation?

The nut on the end is M14x1.5. The bolt itself is actually the strut and sway bar endlink. You'll have to replace the whole unit.
