The G needs Tires but is this wise?
Fellow G men, a buddy is getting rid of his Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 tires since he’s trading in his car. Tread is at 80-85%.
I’m able to get the following set from him for a steal.
225/45ZR18 and 255/40ZR18
My G is a 2013 Sport sedan with stock 18s and front tires are pretty much done.
Would this setup work (I understand overall lower profile than stock) and does anyone on here have a similar one?

The Z guys run smaller diameters when tracking w/ no issues, yours will be almost 4% shorter than stock but your front to rear diameters are still close to each other, shouldn't be a problem although 3% difference is typically the cutoff point when recommending different setups. Hard to give this an unconditional "green light" though, can your buddy give you a refund if they cause traction control or ABS issues???
