cost of owning a g37 (maintenance wise)

so i'm looking to replace my bmw 330i .. after all the cost i've incurred (maintenance wise) with my warranty being over .. i've decided financially, that another bmw is not for me.

i'm looking into picking up a g37s and i'd just like to know financially how much are you guys incurring yearly on maintenance costs?

I've had mine since February and only have had an oil change so far. In the spring I will probably bring it back in for another oil change and inspection. I've only got 6K miles on it and haven't had to bring it in for any reason. I've read more horror stories about the 335i warrenty work then the G37. I bought the G over the 335i because of the reliability and cost of ownership is less IMO.

At 25k, oil changes that are $50 from dealership but I just started putting after market oil in and it costs $80. New front tires are about to be replaced for first time, $300 x2. That is all I can think of. Been in for warranty work once because of loose weld in muffler.

If you factor in the desire you get to buy performance parts, it may even out, haha.

I am at 10.5K miles and have yet to drop a penny for maintenance on my G...well only because my first three oil changes were free. I think $50 will get you an oil change at the dealership w/ an Ester based oil, which is "recommended" for our engines (see oil threads elsewhere on the forum). I think the first major cost my car will incur is a tire change, but I'm not due for one for at least another year...

you can check yahoo auto for an average annual maintenance cost (although it's probably off since there's no real historical data to go off of yet)

oh yeah i do remember catching a glimpse of that thread before. i figured the dealer would replace it for free if it discharged prematurely (especially if it only lasted three months or so like one post i read), but i guess not...
