Hey guys I tried looking for this but didn't run across anything specific ... I just dropped and installed a bbk on my 08 g35 and added 20mm spacers all around... I'm looking at driving up to Oakland from Los Angeles wanted to know if it's safe to make a trip like that with spacers ? Thank you guys... I'm a newb forgive my stupidity lol

Silly question, but if your not sure you can drive to Oakland with them, are you sure they are safe at all?

I think what Hobbs meant was how you arrive to the logic that spacers might not be safe to drive long distance but short distance is safe. If it's unsafe then it's unsafe to drive anywhere even down the block.

You might want to list the detail of the type of spacers you have. Quality reputable spacers shouldn't give you any troubles at all.

Be sure to torque to 80-85 ft lbs, recheck torque after a couple hundred miles and every oil change thereafter. Should be fine but never hurts to check them often. Also never use a 12pt socket on those soft spacer nuts, only a 6 pt socket.
