talking about the degreasers and bug removers that you spray on the front end of the car etc.....are they clear coat safe? I feel like such a powerful chemical would eat away and not be a good idea...just wanting to make sure

 

You've got a right to be concerned... chemicals should always be handled with care, and instructions should always be followed.

With that being said, there are plenty of chemicals that are clear coat safe that can be used to remove bugs, tar, and other forms of contamination.

P21S Total Auto Wash is a premium, but very safe, cleaner that can be used on wheels, bugs, tar, tires, etc.

Long story short, these chemicals are clear coat safe when diluted and used as instructed by the manufacturer. They will all degrade or remove waxes and sealants, therefore a new coat of protection will need to be applied after use.
