Damanged 1 Tire on X Sedan, Replace 1, 2 or 4?

Oh Crap! I just scraped up the side of my front passenger tire on a curb. There's a pretty good size gash. It's probably not safe to drive with this right? I have an 2009 AWD Sedan so can I just replace 1 tire or do I have to replace a pair or all four? I bought the tires from Costco about 1 year ago so have a Road Hazard warranty but will they only replace 1 and make me buy 1 or 3 more?

Thanks,
John

HowStuffWorks "Do I really need to replace all four tires at the same time?"

Went to Costco and they measured 8/32. So I think I am ok to just replace 1.

If you need it shaved to match the others we can do that for $25 per tire.

You'll be absolutely fine replacing one. We do that at my dealership everyday.
