Exclamation Upgrading from 17s to 18s on my X...

Is it cool to go w/ 245/45/18s? Or do I have to go with the 225/50/18? I'd hate to buy the wrong ones. Which would you suggest for an X? Anyone have a particular advantage? It snows a couple inches in the winter here (if that helps).

Also, I plan on not dropping. I don't mind being an inch higher, but will going from 17s to 18s make the gap too noticeable? I don't wanna look like a goober on the road. LOL thank you.

I just couldn't stand the OEM 17s. Too ugly in my opinion, so I wanna get decent looking 18s.

I'm in the same situation at the moment - looking to replace the stock 17's on my 2011 G37X with OEM 18's.

From the research I've done here, you can go with the RWD sport setup with the 225/50/18 fronts and 245/245/18 rears as this setup keeps the overall rolling diameter < 1% of each other.

I've decided to try and find a square setup (18x7.5 with 225/50/18 all round) as I do a lot of miles and want to be able to rotate my tires.

There's definitely a lot more used choices out there if you elect to go for the non-square setup. I'm not finding much on Craiglist or ebay for OEM square setups.

From: Framingham Ma,
I would look at a stock Sport X car I think they run 245's all around. You can go larger if you want I'm running staggered 20's but that's another conversation

Pretty sure the G37XS sedan runs 225/50/18 on 18x7.5's all round. It's essentially the same on all four corners as the front wheels on the G37S sedan.
