multi directional tread

Is getting multi directional tread a good solution for X owners wanting a staggered setup?

Not sure what you mean by a multi directional tread. There are tires with an asymmetrical and directional design on the same tire, but those become corner specific and offer zero rotation options on staggered cars. They are also very rare designs.

I would suggest an asymmetrical design. Those can be moved left/right w/out the need to take them off your wheels. If using a directional design you can still rotate, but dismounting them from the wheels so they can be put on the opposite side is required.
