lower car before getting new wheels

Hey guys just a quick question for those with more experience then myself. I have a 2012 G37 Journey sedan, I currently have the 17" stockers that im itching to get rid of... but alas I'm gonna wait till i at least kill the tires that are on the current rims.

Anyways I plan on getting a set of TSW Panorama Rotary Forged wheels in 20x9 +35 all around with a set of Michelin PSS 245/35/20. I also plan on lowering the car on the Eibach Pro Kit.

My question for you lot, would it be ill-advised to lower the car with the stockers, or is it okay to lower it with those wheels until i get the new wheels later?

Thanks,
Justin

No problem lowering it ASAP, just be ready for a rather dramatic change in the drive when you go from the cushioned 17s compared to the much harsher 20s. I much prefer the feedback and stiffer sidewalls from the low profile 20s but you will feel most of the road imperfections. Should be a nice look and those tires are such a huge improvement over those absolute garbage RS-A tires. If it were me I'd get rid of those crap treads first so you can actually drive your G like it was meant to be driven. Those chit tires belong on a 200 hp Kia
Plus the stock 17s are as$ ugly

Absolutely OK to lower it with the stock setup, I run the stock wheels during the winter months. I hate the look, but there's no issue doing it.
