Ok guys so here's the deal. I got a pre-owned 09 G37X and after I purchased it I found out from an Infiniti dealer that it had aftermarket suspension done. The dealer I bought it from never told me. My issue is, 1) I didn't even know they made suspension for the AWD and 2) I just noticed my back tires are pointing inwards (top in, bottom out) it goes slightly past the wheel flare. I may not know everything about everything about cars, but I know that is completely wrong. I called the dealership where I got it and told them, waiting to hear back if they are going to fix it or not. I know Infiniti wants $2500 to put OEM parts back in. Other than that, what are my opinions? I feel I shouldn't have to go out of pocket for any expense, since I was never told the car had aftermarket parts.

Look under the car for what brand name they are. If they are a good brand name either keep it or find some one to trade out with. Chances are you just need to adjust the Camber.

 

I agree with eljoker, it's probably an upgrade just tuned wrong. Either tune it or swap it. The good news is that it probably is a better part than it replaced.

If you buy a used car, it's buyer beware. The dealer probably didn't know of the suspension mod either. There's no law stating that used cars must list any aftermarket equipment that has been modded to the car. I'm guessing certified factory used cars may not have this issue, but any non-Infiniti dealer would not know the difference even if they saw it. Considering maintenance items are usually replaced with non-OEM, I would guess more than 95% of used cars sold have non-stock equipment. Think of how many parts a vehicle has, a used car would cost more than new if every part had to be inspected to ensure that it was OEM.
