Personally I don't really see anything that stood out differently than your typical forum comments. Other than the "G drivers around here are morons" comment, but maybe in his area they are hahaha. A lot of the "negative" comments were about the stance or fitment, but that happens here all the time, as well as any other forum. Some folks go with the form>function approach while others appreciate a set up that both looks and performs good (to their standards). Being that it's a corvette forum, I would assume that the majority of them would be more interested in a set up more geared toward performance and handling.
Can't say I don't agree with some of the comments on that thread...especially the ones about function over form.
But as Stated above, nothing really out of the norm for a forum.

No one actually dissed the wheels, they were dissing the stance (which I also can't stand) so to an extent I have to agree with them. Vette drivers cannot generally afford to be posers like that with all the torque their cars are packing.
So many of them hate stretched tires, poked wheels, and overlowering. Where's the problem with that? Seems like the function>form crowd has spoken. Considering that Vettes have much greater performance than the G37 it only stands to reason that the majority of Vette owners would be more concerned about how safely their wheels/tires can carry them down the road or track quickly than how many compliments they'll get from the Hellaflush movement. No disgust form me.
Unfortunately I'd have to agree with this statement in my area too.
And there's 14 posts there in that thread so far and not one of them disparages the wheels themselves. 4 posts are complimentary of the wheels and 2 are complimentary of the car. Just not the stance.
yeah that does not look good at all but it makes sense since most of the G cars drivers around here are morons.
Honestly I think the form>function guys care too much when people don't like their setup. None of the function guys complain as much when someone tells them their car doesn't look good because its not slammed or running double digit negative camber but the Hellaflush guys take opinions and treat them as hating.
Deal with it!

lol i know the guy that says "this is for the form>function mindset only" gonna agree with betty here, its really not out of the norm for what is seen in forums, we have it with each other on our forum lol

Gotta agree with their statements...I guess I will never understand why people take a nice car and make it look like a squashed hot wheel car. Remember how we did that to our hot wheel cars when we were kids? Push them down real hard and they look just like that..maybe some people like the "nostalgic" look of when they were a kid?

I always get a good laugh when I read posts or hear stories about "my camber arms broke" or "I buy cheap tires becasue they stretch better" or "why do I have to buy tires so often? or "why are my tires wearing out on the inner shoulder every 6K miles?" But it's their car. Just as long as nobody expects me to mod that way I'm fine.
Really? I always treated my Hot Wheels cars like they were real. I got pissed when they got even a scratch on them. I wouldn't even play with them in the dirt.

Yer, it's their car to do whatever they want, but when it affects safety, it affects all of us on the road...
<--- is not butt hurt.
Wrong thread to put on a Corvette forum. Vette drivers are generally an older crowd and cares more about the function rather than the form.
We do a similar thing to the Honda and Genesis/Hyundai guys.
