In the meanwhile, sure would be great if someone with a Sedan, in a warmer climate...

Love to understand that batwing part better, too.
The question about fitting this up to a sedan has been asked several times with no answer. Do sedan owners just need to confirm hole spacing for the 3 bolts?

That's the question. The two connecting bolts at the Engine Cradle are very likely the same for both the Coupe and the Sedan, because according to online OEM parts suppliers, that's the same engine cradle in both models. The deciding question (IMO) is whether or not the Sedan has the same connection point on the Frame.

There's a few members around here that have a sedan & a coupe, I just can't recall who they are right now. If there is anyone w/ both and doesn't mind taking the time to measure those mount points on both cars that would be a huge help.

I have both and you are all overthinking it. Get under your sedan and see if it looks just like the picture. I'm willing to bet it does. Buy the brace and install it. If by some weird chance it doesn't fit, return it. It's not rocket science. Make yourselves useful to the community by confirming that it will fit. Hint: it will.

There are all different ways to be useful to the community, BB. Personally, I prefer Newt's respectful, collaborative approach over the alternative. But your way would work too. Thanks.

It looks like the awd has some extra bracing. I couldn't get an entire shot of the area as my ramps only let me get so far from the subject, but these should give you an idea of the awd bracing and attachment points. I'm not certain, but it looks like the same points as the coupe.

However, it looks like a different piece. Not sure if they put a cover over that shiny silver piece you see in the coupe images and the brace is all one piece extending from right to left. I didn't take off that splash guard which covers this area when I took my photos. So I don't know of the black brace you see is in lieu of the silver thing with the 2 attachment points on the coupe, or if it goes over it.

OK, I'll play along.

I checked. They're identical.

Couple of pics of the batwing on a 350 and a 370Z--they have these braces as well--for perspective.

Note the additional braces boxed in blue on the 370 pic.

Don't the AWD Gs have a different front suspension than the RWDs?

Could the front braces on the AWD fit the RWD versions? They do look beefier on the X than the flatter braces found on the vert.

I have no idea.

But, there is some difference in the front suspension because 370Z Koni Yellows only fit the RWD Gs. Which makes sense, because there has to be different packaging to fit a front differential and other hardware into the X. I'd be more inclined to try the RWD 'vert braces.

FYI, I messaged the guy who was selling that batwing on the forum. It was off an 08 'vert and the mounting holes did not line up with his '11 IPL.

So caveat emptor.....

He has it listed as a 2009+??

It will fit regardless!! 2008 is the same chassis through 2014.

The G37 convertible did not arrive until MY 2009.

There are shields at the mounting point that need to be removed. I have that exact one on my 2010.

Vert Cradle Braces on the RWD Sedan

I ordered the left & right side Suspension Member Sub Stays... but since they came off the Vert and attach the engine cradle to the frame, I've been calling them Vert Cradle Braces.

This morning I had the front end on ramps for something else, and test-fit the braces on my Sedan. Sure looks like a fit to me. Planning on installation in two weeks or so.
