In the 370z and G37 convertible, many additional braces are added to the car to increase the structural rigidity of the car. Given the location of these braces, I felt that a regular G37 would also benefit from the extra bracing.
While GTspec offers aftermarket bracing products, it feels a lot weaker than the Nissan OEM braces. GTspec braces are also more expensive than the OEM braces.
Thus began my project of trying 370z and G37 convertible OEM braces on my G37.
Phase 1: Front Crossmember Brace
This pair of braces connect the front engine cradle to the chassis of the car.
Parts you need:
544C4-1EA0A Right brace
544C5-1EA0A Left brace
081B7-0455M x2 bolts
11298-CA015 x2 bolts
You also need 2 M10x1.25 nuts. I couldnt find a part number for this.
Total costs: ~ $90
GTspec lateral bars = $160
This is what the braces look like:
Installed pic:
Compared to Gtspec brace:
The oem brace is 5000x times stronger and more rigid compared to GTspec. It uses three mounting points per brace versus the two bolts used by GTspec. It is also significantly heavier.

Does anyone know if the Rear Underbody Brace from the g37 vert will work if I'm installing the Motordyne e370?
I ask, because the xyz pipe could interfere.

Any chance that you could give us an update on how the car feels after running this for a while? Have you had any issues? Does it help to glue the car to the road? Etc etc...

It's been so long since I installed these parts, i dont think i give you an accurate review anymore. I think it definitely improves the structural rigidity of the car. The OEM braces are definitely stiffer and more effective than some of the soft aluminum aftermarket stuff.

Looking back through this thread, there's a common question: will the front Vert braces fit on the Sedan? One way to figure that out would be to look at the subframe components. If you use OrderInfinitiParts.com, there's this diagram:
...which is available under "IPL". And the parts in question (#13) are listed only for "convertible". If you go after the Front Suspension data for anything other than IPL, their database doesn't offer #13 as a valid part. Hmm.
However, part #10 (Engine Cradle) seems to be universal to all G's. It's the same diagram regardless, without differentiating model in the details. In other words, it seems like a safe bet that the Vert Engine Cradle Braces are plug-n-play install-able to all model G's, including the Sedans.
Sure would be great if someone who's done it would confirm the idea. Either way, $70 is a pretty cheap gamble. This mod just went on my list for sometime this Spring or Summer.
God damn winter sucks.
Really hate winter. I think when I retire, I'm going to lobby hard with the wifey to move somewhere warm. Sorry... /oldmanrant

Vert Cradle Brace Mod
I won't be pursuing this Vert Cradle Brace mod until Spring at the earliest. Doesn't make sense to me installing a suspension mod in the dead of winter riding on snow tires. I don't think those conditions contribute to making a fair assessment of changes in the car's handling. But I am planning on an Auto-X event with a buddy this Spring, so before then, certainly.
In the meanwhile, sure would be great if someone with a Sedan, in a warmer climate...
