Smile Nissan GTR tires into G37 (rear)

Ok . well im a totally @ noOb on understanding tire fitments and the flush style that make cars loOk wider in the rear.

An opinion/Answer to my question will help ALOT! from someone with experience in tire fitment or anyone that has maybe try it before*

i have the CV3's on my G with 285/30zr20 on the Rear*

Lowered on eibach sport springs*

I want a wider and lil bit bigger loOk on the rear so i bought this size of tires
285/35zrF20 which belongs frm a GTR.obviously the tires are bigger.

the only thing i know is im gonna need to roll the fenders and maybe get spacers toO.

question is will this be OK?

thanks and appreciate the input.

Why do you want to go larger overall and screw your speedo? Car might look weird if you ask me.

Ur going with a wider tire but taller tire as well. 285(wide) and 25 (tall). You have to keep the same overall ratio so ur sidewall of 20 would probably be more correct for the wider wheel. If you go with too high of a sidewall itll mess with the vdc and speedo because it would be out of the stock range of parameters is what sam is getting at

OP has stated that he wants a wider tire but already has a 285/30-20 and wants to upgrade to a 285/35-20?

Am I missing something here or are both tire sizes the same width with the latter being taller?

So get spacers and push the wheel out some. What are your offsets now?

you would have to go lower offset wheels or get spacers to push the wheels out. getting a bigger sidewall won't do much except make the tires "taller" and cause incorrect readings on your speedometer.

It really wont make much difference. I am on a 275/35 and it is just a little beefier side wall. My speedo is still within 1 mph at about 45.

Changing the tire alone will not give you the look you are looking for. Spacer bro...5mm or 10mm....you'll have to play with it so you can achieve that look on the 240sx but then you may need a camber kit and run a stretched tire?
