Steering wheel turns when braking

I recently bought a used 2009 g37x coupe and I noticed when I am braking over bumpy surfaces the steering wheel turns on its own. When I brake on smooth roads the steering wheel vibrates a little. Is this normal?

Also I hear a high pitched sound when accelerating/cruising above 5mph. Like those misquito sounds or hearing test sounds. I havent found a definitive fix for it but does replacing ECM really fix it?

Thank you!

Sounds like the rotors are deformed. Does your steering wheel shake when you brake lightly at high speeds?

Hmmm my 2011 tends to turn on its own when I go over a bumpy road while steering. Thought it was suppose to be like that due to the road :/

Many things could trigger that, off the top of my head
1) Messed up rotors (uneven wear/grip)
2) Messed up pads (uneven wear/grip)
3) Uneven brake distribution in the front
4) Very different grips in front tires (different widths, tread pattern etc)

Yea I think so, slight vibration/shaking occurs when I brake.

If I bring the car to the dealer, will warranty cover it? I have about 6months factory warranty remaining and I bought a 3years/48miles warranty, I think
bumper to bumper.

You have warped rotors. Covered under warranty and tsb. You may also have a stuck caliper.

Thanks guys! Gonna take a visit to the dealership.

Also is it normal if there are crackling/popping sounds when I am idle? When I come to a stop at a redlight and open my windows I hear crackling sounds.

Mine does this as well. Guess I gotta bring it back to the dealer.....again.

Curious about the crackeling sounds too. Is not the heat from the exhaust....it's something else.
