shops for swapping springs
shops for swapping springs
Hey guys,
this weekend I am going to swap out my OEM springs and anti-sway bar. I plan to disassemble the two front strut assemblies from the car, and bring those along with two Eibach springs to an auto shop. Then get the shop to use their spring compressors to do a quick spring swap.
This should be a very quick and easy job... from what I read in the forums some people got it swapped at Sears or other places for $20 or $40.
I rang a few places up (Atlanta) and they are charging me $40 PER strut (thats $80-$100! total!)...
was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on this?
thanks

NTW does it for $20-30 for me. A local suspension shop does it for $40.
It shouldn't' cost any more money for them to disassemble the strut/spring units for you as well, take them in still assembled. Make sure they align the upper seat properly with the strut (mark it).

hi BB
what is NTW?
are those prices ($20-$40) the TOTAL price for two struts?
Q_Q
thx
edit: my bad, the price should be only for labor rate - it's apparently around $40-50 per half hour here. I hope they get both struts done in half hour
