Tire Size Help/Advice......

I am a proud owner of a 2009 G37xS Sedan and it's time to change out my tires. My factory wheels are the Sedan Sports 18" by 8.5 all the way around. Stock tire size is 225/50/18. The tires that i'm interested in are the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. The problem is that the only size they are available in are 245/45/18. Will this size fit my wheels without any kind of rubbing on the front end? Has anybody went with this size with the same wheels?

With the way the stock wheels are tucked well within the wheelwell, you don't have to worry about any rubbing issues.

I have a 2011 S and the stock front wheels are 18x7.5 and use the 225/50/18's.

The stock rear wheels are 245/45/18 and they are 18x8.5.

Are you sure your 225/50/18's are on 8.5" wide wheels? If they are, the 245/45/18's will work just fine.

No, sir. I have the G37S sedan. Sport sedans come with staggered set-up, too.

I was pretty sure you had the 7.5" wide wheels. Personally, I'd stick with the size you have or... why not get some nice, aftermarket wheels?

Personally, the look of staggered wheels is kinda cool... not being able to rotate them and get more miles irritates me more than my like for the look, though.

What i'm coming up with here is that the G37s sedans have a staggered set up while my G37xS AWD sedan has the same size all the way around. I want to roll with my factory wheels since my dealership scratched my OEM ones last year and they are just now replacing them with brand new identical wheels. So my wheels should be nice, shiny, and clean. lol. If i did go with aftermarket i would want the factory 19" sport coupe wheels.

I called Tire Rack and they said that the 245/45/18 size would work with no problem. However a couple of other places i called said that they would recommend sticking with the factory stock size of 225/50/18. Still SMH......

Stock sport 18's come with 225/50/18 up front and 245/45/18 in back. They will both work fine on your vehicle. That overall diameter is like .18 inches different. You can run 245/45/18's all day with no problem.

The AWD G sport sedan comes with the same size wheels all the way around. My OEM tires are 225/50/18 all the way around.

shaidaddy007, I just had a set of 245/45s put on my 09 G37xs and they fit fine on the stock 18 x 7.5 rims. My in-laws have a 07 Maxima SE, with 18 x 7.5 oem rims and it came with 245/45s from Nissan. I wouldn’t go any wider than the 245s on the oem xS rims.
