Increased vibration in steering wheel after installing wider front wheels

I recently installed 20x9.5 (F) and 20x10.5 (R) aftermarket wheels on my G. I noticed increased vibration in the steering wheel after. I got my car aligned about a month prior to upgrading the wheels. Has anybody experienced this?

Should I redo the alignment with the new wheels on?

TIA.

FIrst off:
What kind of wheels
Did they balanced it correctly
DO you have the hubcentric rings
Are the tires good.

vibration usually mean tire balance is off

Thanks for reply.

GT30
Assumed to be balanced correctly. Mounted at a import tuning place in SD (that has been around for a while).
Rings are installed 66.1
Tires are new Vred Sessantas 245/35 and 275/30

This is probably the case. I hate rework, especially when you pay someone to do the work. Straight BS.

One thing I did find interesting is: the hub rings can be pushed in deeper than the contact surface of the wheel. In other words, the deeper they are pushed in, the less engagement with the hub. How do you guys set your rings? Pushed all the way in? Or flush with the seating surface?

TIA.

since it's Volks, Try running them without the hubrings. I didn't need the rings when I was using my friends gt30's no vibration whatsoever

^ It's worth a shot. But it could be the balance (unless of course a wheel is bent).. On my Volks I always just push my hub rings all the way into the wheels then mount the wheel on to the hub and secure the lugs. Never had any vibration.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll cruise later and see how bad it is. It's more like a shiver in the steering wheel.

^ Were you running stocks before? You may feel more of the road now when driving with the wider wheels and lower profile tire.

^yes. That came to mind so that is why I posted it. I thought (since many forum members are on aftermarket wheels) members may have experienced the same. I should try to find a relatively smooth road to further evaluate.
