Exclamation Noob qustion about rims/fitment

I have a 2008 G37s coupe, I'm looking at buying Vossen VVS082 082 Black/Machined or Vossen VVS086 086 Matte Silver both are (R)20x10.5 (F)20x9 basically in a sense they are the same.
Now, Ive been searching to see what sort of things other people have been doing but all I'm reading is about camber kits and things like that. Some people say you do need them and some say you can go without them. I really don't understand what camber kits do because its out of my area of expertise so sue me haha.
Along with the rims i would also purchase some sort of lowering spring. What brand i haven't look in yet. With springs all i want is to fill the gap between the tire and the fenders but not so much that it will rub. If any one has a set like what i just have described let me no i would appreciate it.
To get back on the rims what sort of offset would be best to run so the rims are flush with the fender and have the biggest lip on the rear? On the front i would only like them to be flush, not to picky on the lip size with the fronts.
Thank you all.

Sounds like the eibach pro kit will fit you best. It has a minimal drop where it'll close the wheel gaps. With this drop you may get away from using a camber kit although it's still recommended. As you lower a car your wheels will become like this / \ that's why you need a camber to straightened that up or your tires will wear out unevenly

I'm not sure which offsets to go with, but call Vossen and ask to speak with Jav, he will set you straight. You are right, you absolutely need lowering springs if you want it to look good. As you lower a car, the camber naturally increases. The stock camber adjustment does not have enough range to correct for this, hence new camber arms may be required. With Eibach, you don't need a camber kit. If you go to a good alignment shop, they will be able to get it pretty close to spec. For my car, they got it to what they called a "performance alignment" which is probably what they would have done anyway (I got it aligned at a road race shop).

Vossen Wheels

What it comes down to is, as long as you don't run really THICK tires you'll be good to go! Once you get everything mounted on you can always go and get your camber aligned. I highly doubt that with a subtle drop you'll need any camber kits.

Go with Eibach Pro-Kit springs....

-gets rid of fender gap (with 20" wheels)
-maintains a similar ride quality as the oem sport springs.
-you shouldnt have any problem with rubbing if you get the recommended tire specs.
