Most places I have delt with wouldn't even touch my vehicles till the spacers were taken off. Spacers can suck but they do serve a purpose. I ran 1" spacers on my Jeep for 6 years of hard abuse.

Oh don't get me wrong, with the right torque specs they're perfectly fine. The fronts came off like they were clipped on this time because I made sure they were properly torqued.

And you use a high quality, properly sized 6 point socket. If I was a betting man, I'd say your issue was caused by one or all of the following-cheap *** socket 2-cheap *** 12 point socket 3- cheap *** 12 point socket that was the incorrect size. Lol
