OP, first off, no one is going to be able to give you an answer as to the "best" anything when it comes to parts for the G. Any response given in this thread listing a part will be purely subjective. No one has had every single part, or every single combination of parts made for our cars so there is no way to say Part A is better than Part B. There are a lot of good parts for the G, and there are probably many more subpar parts out there. My suggestion would be to read some reviews, do some research, and make as much of an educated decision as you possibly can.

Secondly, you ask for a suggestion for the "best coilover for the money and ride." We do not know your budget, and, well, what one person desires in ride quality, another person may hate. What I think is a poor-handling slushbox another may conclude is a tight, highly responsive riding-on-rails suspension. Again, all subjective. You need to decide what you are looking for in your suspension characteristics and go from there.

I would say, first, decide what you're willing to spend on your suspension. Second, maybe get in contact with some local G owners who have coilovers. See if they'd be willing to give you a ride in their car. You will then have a much better, confident idea of what you like, or conversely (and, arguably, more importantly) what you do not like...

Good luck.

the AWD will be a big hurdle.

If budget is not a concern, I'd look into some JRZ, Moton, or Ohlins coils.

I have about 1100 to spend on coil overs first, i am looking for a ride where i can lower a decent amount and keep the ride quality nice.

In, that case, I'd seriously save a bit more. My personal favorite is the KW V3. Hard to beat for the money, but it does cost a bit more.

Also, I'm not sure that they make a AWD version.

It really depends on personal preference. Some people can't handle the car being to stiff, some people don't like the all to smooth ride. So no one can really tell you which is best.

Too bouncy as in too stiff, too much compression, or not enough rebound?

BC Racing for that price. They are also one of few that make a set for the X.

I have the Tein Flex coilovers with EDFC, which allows you to adjust damping to your liking. I have three settings: one for highway, one for daily driving on regular roads, and one for "spirited driving." It's not a bad option if you do not want to be locked in to one specific ride quality. However, that set-up cannot be had for $1,100.
