Help in downgrading to 18" wheels

I'm already thinking ahead for the fall season when I swap out stock 19" summer wheel and tires for some all season combo.

Since I have sport pkg will 18X8 all around with 40mm or 37 offset cause any caliper rubbing? Also is it ok to do without TMPS as I check tires pressures once a week anyways? I'm just worried there will be a constant light on my system saying TMPS malfunction!

Btw I will be going with Falken 912 225 50/hr 18 any other suggestions?

Thanks!

^ Great help from this guy.....

The TPMS light can be deactivated permanently trough your dealership, but they may or may not be willing to do it due to some "perceived liability" on their end. I really can't help you on the offset question, but hopefully someone can chime in and answer that for you.

I've changed my mind! I'm staying with stock rims and getting Hankook Evo V12 or Yokohama S. Drive. Screw the winter I will just bus it.

Btw I'm getting the Hankooks to alleviate Tramlining on my car!

Actually you did help a bit but the main factor was the Road & Track test of wheels from 15" to 20".

Results showed no huges loses in performance going from 18 to 19. And yes our cars look better with 19". lol

Btw does anyone know if the ride will be harsher if I go 245/40/19 in the front and 275/35/19 in the rear sporting Hankook V12 summer tires?

It won't make a huge difference but it might be enough of a difference in tire width to change the suspension geometry enough for you to notice a little bit of a rougher ride.
