Max front wheel / size width?
Looking at enkei GTC01 18x8.5 front and 18x10 rear. in this case i would have 245/40 front and 285/35 rear. i was told from a friend that this config. would cause extra understeer and i should do 265/35 front (18x9.0 or 18x9.5).
offsets for the 18x8.5 is 30 or 35, 18x9.5 is 38, and 18x10 is 22.
tryin to figure out what can fit. i know 275/40 fits without turning the wheel with a different brand but i dont know offsets etc.

Technically the offset will determine where the wheel and tire will be positioned on the car which can lead to rubbing issues. Lower the offset # further out the wheel/tire will sit, larger the offset # further in the pack will sit.

Comin out of the woodwork bb!
. Yea a friend said 295 to hold the road more. So can we agree on 255 for front grip? I'm not gonna track a lot so it's more for everyday.

LOL. I told you man, I can help you a little with tire sizes if you have a wheel size and offset.
255 up front. If you aren't tracking it, all 295 tires will do is make you possibly rub the fender, throw your speedometer off a little more, cost more money, make more noise, and be more susceptible to hydroplaning in the rain.
Wait, are these for 18" wheels or 19"?

Doesn't seem like much, but it may not clear the brakes. Go measure to make sure that you have 12 mm clearance from stock wheels to spare. My calculator says 18"x9.5" front is 17mm closer in to brakes. Going to a smaller diameter wheel, you also have to consider that the inner wheel barrel is going to be closer in to the hub by 1/2" inch because of the smaller wheel radius. Keep this in mind for brake clearance.
For 18" wheels, I'd go 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear. But you still really need to test fit to make sure of clearance.

so, the rear is fine with moving out about 1.023 inches and the front will need a spacer to even it out. cant really tell how to measure the inside. feels like i have a couple inches.

comparing bridgestone and falkens specs on tires. i found a 255/40 front and 295/40 rear combo. front loses .5in diameter, gains .5in width. rear gains .25in diameter and 1in width.
