Recently changed my brake pads. VERY LOUD NOISE. Please help.

Recently changed my brake pads. VERY LOUD NOISE. Please help.

I recently changed my break pad and shortly after i did so my brakes sqeak/whine very lound but only when the car is in reverse. While i am in drive this problem does not occur. It is only when i am backing up and braking. It is very loud. Thank for your help/

rotor surfaces as well as brake pad surfaces are all flat. shouldnt matter what direction they spin, should make no difference either way.

i highly doubt the noise is coming from all four corners of the car when you are going into reverse but you didnt say if you did the fronts/rear or all four. and you changed rotors as well?

sounds like you have an automatic transmission, but i dont see how that can make any difference.

have you jacked up the car, taken the wheels off and inspected that everything was installed correctly and no brake parts are touching?
