Slight vibration when breaking

WTF?! just picked up this sweet coupe 3 days ago. dont even have 200 miles on it. upon breaking at hwy speeds i noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. the harder i brake, the heavier the vibration; and there's a very slight pull to the left when you drive on the hwy as well. isn't this odd for a brand new car??? anywho, i'm taking it back to the dealer tomorrow morning.

Not unheard of. All it takes is one test driver to give it an extra hard braking session....your on the right path though with a return to the dealer.

Could be a few things, ABS is bad, probem with the wheels or tires (alignment), your rotors could be warped, or mabe a suspension problem. How many miles did the car have at delivery.

I had that problem, While breaking around 50 or 65 mph the steering wheel would vibrate, Infiniti fixed it for me at no charge, See invoice on what they fixed -

I get that vibration too. Last service, 5/20/09, I was told front pads were at 60% and rear @ 50%. Should I have these changed? I have 24,000 miles.

Should I have the stealership do the brake pads, or have it done elsewhere? Any recommendations where I can go to get brake pads installed? Anywhere in Los Angeles County.

Wheel Alignment done on 10/20/2008...This shouldn't be affecting it....

What can it be?

Sounds like warped rotors to me. Probably from a test drive and they really got on the brakes.

Excuse me but I’m a hopeless grammar freak. Breaking is when you have coffee; braking is used to stop a vehicle.

Give me a "break." You guessed wrong. I took that name here from the navigator on Star Trek and that’s how he spelled it (His full name is Pavel Andreievich Chekov). I took that name because I too was an airborne navigator while in the Navy.

This is how I looked in the old days:

Of course I had more hair then.
