285/35/19 on OEM Sport Rears?

Hello, I just picked up a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 285/35/19 and was wondering what you guys think about me fitting it on the stock 19x9 rears?
I have a buddy running 275 on a 8.5inch.

Thanks

Loi

I think 285 on stock wheels would be just pushing it IMO.. you're putting 11" wide tires on 9" wheels.. check with any tire size calculator on google

Greetings,

I am currently running 275 on the stock wheels. They fit perfectly and have never rubbed. I was told at the time, that 285 might not fit according their specs, but as stated on this forum, some are running 285's with no problems.

If you are buying from a reputable tire dealer, he/she be able to mount them and check for clearance. If they rub, go with 275's. If the tire dealer will not do this, go elsewhere.

After mounting the 275 (which look awesome), I had second thoughts about the 285's. The problem is the cost, the only tire I could find at 285/19 where Pirelli's at $480 a piece. Albeit, I may not have looked very hard.

Regardless, please let us know if you decide to mount them and whether or not you have any problems.

Semper Fi,

Do you have any pics? Since I'm dropped on Eibachs, my wheels are a bit tucked, so imagine if I fit wider tires on it would look more aggressive and be flush with the fender line.

like i told you, i run 245/40/19 and 275/35/19s on my stock tires and they fit perfect. using the tire calculator:

245/40/19 (stock) is 26.7 in diameter
275/35/19 is 26.6 in
285/35/19 is 26.9 in

so it doesnt look like too bad of a change.
