Called the dealership just now. They quoted me $225 for the front springs, and $180 for the rears. $405 to install F'ing springs!!! And they would not be covered under warranty. They would also void the warranty for any damage sustained from bottoming out, in the event that it happens. No one else in town (called 10-15 shops) is willing to install any sort of lowering springs whatsoever. I even offered to sign a waiver of liability, still no dice...

Anyone want brand new Eibach's?

 

Dude, read my post. DO THE REARS YOUR SELF!! Then you just need some one to do fronts and will cost allot less.

 

Just don't pull one of these and do half the job!

I read the post about how to install these yourself. In that post, it mentions:

"These are the tools you'll need:"
jack stands (don't have)
hyd. jack (don't have)
sz. 12, 14, 17, 19mm sockets and open wrenches
ratchet, 1/2 extensions, torque pipe (don't have a torque pipe)
lube spray
rubber mallet (don't have)
and most important, spring compressor (don't even know what this is)

I also live in an apartment, so my working area consists of a parking space. It's probably going to be significantly cheaper to just pay someone to install the springs than to go out and buy said tools.

 

for the rear all you need is 2 jacks, 19mm socket and/or open wrench. its cake! not worth $180.. doesnt even take long. but if $ isnt a problem then go right ahead. GL

The rears take less than 30minutes for both. Its literally 1 bolt...

 

You do not need all those tools for the rear, maybe for the front thats why I say pay someone to do the front. You dont want to mess with spring compressors.

 

Pay the dealer. Doesn't sound like you are not comfortable with a DIY and no need to lose a finger farting around with it. If you can't get a warranty, I wouldn't worry about it as it's not like putting a TT on your motor.

 

Importtrix only charged you $160 for installing the front and back springs? Or just the front?
