STB and Dealer Servicing

I plan on getting a STB in the future but was wondering if you guys would trust the dealerships in removing and re-installing it when you take it in for servicing.

I've got 5 years of maintenance at the dealership but I'm thinking if I ever take the car in I should remove the STB myself for fear of them scratching, dropping, greasing up the shiny STB!

What do you guys think. Has anyone taken their car in for servicing but left the STB on? It might be a hassle for me but I think of it like the car washes...if they can mess that up, I don't want to take a chance with the STB either.

its 3 bolts on each side. if your worried about your dealing removing 6 simple bolts i think the STB is the last thing you need to worry about. I would be far more worried what they are doing to my car when doing the service

Yes and a car wash is a simple thing too but look how many people said they found scratches! I'm just going to take it off myself. One less thing to worry about

If anyone with a STB takes there car in for servicing, let me know how it goes!
