Angry ouch $$$

ok so this past weekend i was away from home and going to go skydiving, we left the hotel room and I wanted to quickly wash my car (cant roll in a dirty G) so i stopped and filled and got an auto car wash (no flaming, i know, i know never to go through one but it was the only one i saw for like 20 blocks) so i decided to purchase it i drove up and it was one that u put ur car in neutral and let the conveyer belt pull you through, now i was already in front with about 6 cars behind me so i said F*** it and drove in ... little did I know it scuffed every spoke on my front drivers side. Now i dealt with the manager there only to get no where so i called the GM and got no where so now im pooched and gota do one of three things.

1. get a new rim which I priced out at $1348.44 can

2. powder coat it back to original, but i hear it is extremely hard to match colors exactly when powder coating.

3. Powder coat all rims so they all match but I wouldnt mind gettin them all done black, but what style of black i dont know? Matte black, gloss, or any others?

Need some feedback, wat do u guys thing?

how did the confrontation with the manager go? do you think it was mostly your fault or what? How did you scuff the drivers side rims? I think if you could push enough, you could get the manager to pay for it. Rim repairs are like 100-200 bucks and they come out to look new, do a thread search, you don't need a new rim or powder coating.

sorry to hear. what have the manager say about the wheels? say that if he doesnt pay up, youre taking him to court? that probably make him scared.

Almost every drive in POS car wash has a sign that says "not repsonsible for blah blah blah" so I doubt they will do anything for you and you knew better and you still went. So that sux.

As for the wheels, I say powder coat them flat/matte black.

As for the real question I have an OB G and need some opinions on what color to paint em, im getting BAT overlays aswell and prolly painting the grill, input would be great!

Sorry to hear that man, it's sucks. But don't go out there and buy a new rim right away. I had to fix my front rims couple of months ago. One of them was badly damaged and I thought there was no way to fix this without replacing the rim or painting over it. I was wrong. I talk to my service guy and he suggested try out their rim repair guy who repairs rims in the house 2 days in a week as a contractor. He charges $125 a piece no matter how badly it is. There are no guarantees but he did an amazing job. It was so good that I got suspicious and asked my service guy if he did screw up my rims really bad and ended up buying a new ones at no charge! Anyway he put some sort of a cure that had to stay on the rims for about 2 weeks. After that I could wash my car. If it can be done, it can be done anywhere. Only thing is that you have to find right person. Good luck!
