How long did your stock 19 Potenzas last?
got 1200 miles on mine and so far so good.
Ohh, did I say 1200. Yippeee! my break-in period is over.!!!
BTW, if you're getting new tires. Why not go with fatter tires in the rear?
with that in mind, what's the widest can we go on the rears with our 19" stockies??

On my 06 coupe the rears last till 18K and the fronts had to be changed at little over 20K. They werent bald when I changed them, just around 2/32nds left. I am at 12K with my 08 coupe and they have about 6/32nds left on them.
i thought mine wouldnt make it thru the summer, because in the winter and spring whenever it would rain, the car would be squirmy... but higher temps make a BIG diff!
Just drove 20 miles thru a torrential downpour in which everyone had their flashers on.... i was doing just fine zipping past them 10-15mph faster and changing lanes with no problems.
I have 20K miles on these tires and have been to the track a few times, and autocrossed once. I enjoy the occasional highway ramp, or letting the back out on a slow 75+ degree turn.

had an allen wrench in my right rear this morning. got it over to les schwab but the inside of the tire was shredded... now i have some Toyo T1R's.

amazingly they had them in stock. I'm not very happy though, the steering feels looser and the car feels floaty... not a fun day. >

I thought the potenzas were directional and thus could not be rotated left/right. Unless you meant to say that you had the tires dismounted and remounted on the opposite sides, I don't know how you rotated side-to-side and did not end up with backwards-directed tires that will cause you to aquaplane in the rain.

since october
side to side rotation is possible on the RE050A's
