Two Questions about stock rims

Newbie here...

I was thinking of getting the stock rims painted black... two questions:

1) Whats a rough price range to have rims painted?
2) Any thoughts on whether it will look good or not?

Thanks.

I wouldn't paint the stockers. Maybe it's just not my preference, but I think they tend to look quite plain painted black.

Anyways...
1) Prolly a few hundred dollars for a good powdercoating.
2) Not my cup of tea, but it's what you like. Check out the wheels section. A few people have done it.

It doesn't look too bad IMO... Get them powdercoated though, not painted...

Your lookng around $380-$400 for powder coating & $340-350 for painting. But yeah, powder coating is much better than painting.

I believe there are a couple pics of forum members cars with the OEM wheels painted/powder coated Black. I would search for them or hopefully someone can post a pic up for you.

Lol....yeah the night shot ones that you can't see crap.
The most expensive part of the process is unmounting and remounting tires. I have shops that will powdercoat and do all the prep work for 60 per wheel, but they need to have the tires off already. Otherwise they want $600 to take my car in whole, and do the entire process while the car waits in their shop.

^+1, about 100 each. I'd save for new rims of a different styles.
