Had my e brake adjusted to be pretty tight and worked well for a few months. Today I noticed that the e brake pedal feels alot looser and while pressing it down before it starts to click into place I near like a clank/ clunk coming out of the rear rotors before it begins to tighten. It still can hold the car back from rolling but I can rev it to 1000rpm before the car will move and in reverse it’s like the e brake is not even being applied car just starts to drive. Definitely way weaker than it was. Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this.

 

Its probably best to remove the rear rotor to take look to make sure the springs on the drum holding the shoe pads are still good.
