Those rotors are 4 years old now, with 10k on them. And I've been swapping those spacer adapters each year for 10 years.
We need a winter wheel setup pic for 2024 with the Duckfeet.

Curious how the calipers look on the OEM wheel setup.

Well, to be honest, the thickness of the spokes in the OEM Sport Sedan wheels means the calipers are pretty well hidden. I was thinking that while driving around on errands today in the G. Not completely hidden, but it is a whole lot different than with my summer wheels. With the duckfeet, what you notice is a splash of color behind the wheels, and from that you infer (duh) that the calipers are painted. It's a lot more subtle than hitting you over the head with orange calipers.

With your mirror-like chrome wheels, it could be a whole different kind of thing with what you're planning. Could be a kaleidoscope of sparkly blue. Wouldn't that be fun?

I actually like the subtle nature of the the OEM Sport wheels and how the calipers are present, but not prominent. However, I have noticed with the chrome wheels that the calipers are far more prominent than with Hypersilver, so it might be a nice combination.

I toyed with painting the inside of the centercap (interior of the Infiniti Logo, even a lighter blue-gray) the same blue, but that will either look on point, or just bad. I can't decide.

Also, this is interesting (stock wheels centercap is 54mm): https://floatingcentercaps.com/produ...ter-caps-54mm/

Cool or tacky? Fine line between the two when it comes to a self-lit mod. Company is in WY, so I may just try to charm them into sending me a discounted set to check out.

Below is a pick of the 54mm center caps that came with the set of rear chrome wheels I purchased on eBay for next to nothing that were in perfect condition. I searched online but cannot find the exact replacement, but I have found blank chrome center caps in 54mm, so I think someone took those and glued the Infiniti logo onto them…likely a wheel/chrome shop. The interior of the logo would look nice painted a very light blue (osmium) to pull in the blue on the calipers. These particular ones are painted silver with a hint of gold, which looks nice.

I think they're cool if you get them without the LED. Illuminated, not so much. It's a first impression thing.

I don't think so, but maybe.

I agree with Rochester. No LED would be the way to go. I struggle with this sometimes, the difference between cool and tacky is a fine line, and it is easy to cross unless I step back and look at the whole picture. Case in point.... Jury is still out on this red ring...

Red ring looks a tad bit out of place. Might look ok if there was a red LED in the stack vs the OEM blueish color? You could pull more red into the interior with red CF or stitching on the shift ****.

BTW. Your steering wheel looks amazing.

Lit LED center caps are just something cool to think about. They definitely break my OEM+ look, but I'm always excited when I find something cool that someone clever designed for our cars. Makes the conversation here a little more interesting vs posting responses to sunroof leaks and error codes.

Yeah, I can't decide if I like it. I do have red shift boot stitching too (bad pic)!

Back to calipers... Are you going to rebuild them yourself after they are PC?

I'm 50/50' on the red dial. I do remember long ago that someone had painted that trim red which, if I could paint, I'd have done a decade ago (especially since it would match the NISMO Red start button trim ring.

Edit: found it on that Instagram nonsense:

I swear if I could paint...

OK, back to calipers...

Looks nice, but would one want to paint all of the wasabi aluminum that color, or just a couple of highlights? Personally, I like the look of the wasabi but agree that a few tasteful accents could be added.

With an open mind, check this out as I have been chatting over Whatsapp with the person who developed these lit center caps.

They sit flush and operate based on motion (likely an accelerometer).
