Calipers Re-Painting (Sandblasting safely?)
Calipers Re-Painting (Sandblasting safely?)
Hi all,
I bought refurbished akebono front calipers online, new pads + rotors and I'm almost ready to go for my swap. However these came powdercoated red, I wanted to strip the powdercoating and re-paint them to match my rear calipers. I know I can't re-powdercoat them without rebuilding them which is not going to happen.
Question is: How can I keep the caliper safe while in a sandblaster, as far as the "inside" of the caliper? Basically any component that shouldn't have any blast material near it. Any recommendations would help, last thing I would want is to damage a new caliper.
Thanks!

I was planning on using glass beads, thank you!
