Lower Control Arm Bolt Removal

Hi everyone,

I currently ran into a problem removing the vertical ball joint on the passenger side front lower control arm in my 2008 g37 coupe. Most examples I’ve seen online show it simply being a 19mm nut and a 19mm bolt head on the opposite side.

in my case, I see a weird bracket like clip with a flat 14mm bolt head. The opposite side is a 19mm but with some red loctite on it. The 14mm side looks almost like it’s welded on. Any idea how I can remove this bolt for the lower control arm? I tried a breaker bar on the 19mm side but it won’t budge.

Apply some heat to the 19mm nut if you can, if not, get a bigger bar and stop being a Mary about it, it should break free, lol. The 14mm bolt head in question is actually a kinda caged bolt, meaning you don’t need to hold it as the ear on it will stop against the subframe and hold it for you so you can just go to town on the 19mm nut, if that makes sense.
