Best Replacement Rotors to Avoid Warpage?

I am so tired of replacing rotors on my 2012 G37S. It seems the brake pedal pulsation sets in within 5 or 10K of changing them, so I'm typically going through 2 sets of rotors per set of pads. That's ridiculous, IMO. Never had this issue with Toyota or aftermarket rotors on my modified (>600 HP) Supras and I drove them a lot harder than this G37.

So who makes a better quality rotor than OEM for these cars? I don't need/want any fancy cross drilled, slotted, or 2 piece rotors, unless the longevity is there too. I just want something that will OUTLAST my brake pads, LOL.

I have Centric pads and rotors. Been driving on them for 40K miles now, and I drive hard and haven't had any issues.
By the way you can go to a shop and they can always resurface the rotor. I have done that before for a previous car and they charged me $20.
Make sure to torque your wheels, could also cause premature wear to the rotors. When you get new rotors sand the pads and try to make them smooth as possible, or the groves from the pad will form again on the rotors and cause the same warp issue.

Swapping in new sport rotors every 5K - 10K miles is nuts. They should last well past 30K to 40K miles. Next time you feel they're starting to pulsate, try bedding them in before tossing them out.

Also, street rotors don't warp. That's an urban myth born from conventional wisdom.

I confess I may have been exaggerating on the replacement of these rotors because I do have them turned once before I replace them, however in the 90K miles I've put on this car, I know I've gone through at least 3 sets of rotors. I joked sarcastically with the service writer one time that I come in every 10K for an oil, filter & brake rotor change/turning.

One time the car was in for service, and the pulsation wasn't due to the rotors, but something in the rear like subframe bushings, etc? I'm not as technically savvy with this car as I've been with my Supras, but maybe you guys know what I'm referring to?

I need to find a good Indy shop here in Houston soon for my next brake job & I may give that Centric setup a try. The pulsation has gotten REALLY annoying in the last few months.

Any recommendations for Houston shops? Until now the car has only been to the dealer Sewell, and I've been well satisfied with them, but I'm sure they won't install any aftermarket stuff on it......

My OEM sport brakes started to pulsate around 35K to 40K miles. Because I was planing (and saving) for a 2-piece rotor upgrade, I bed them in thoroughly and got another 5K out of them before the pulsation came back and couldn't be ignored. Pads were fine, reduced thickness, but still safe. Did the exact same thing on my previous car (2003 Maxima), bedding them in hard because they were starting to pulsate, while making plans for new ones.

BTW, 10K is way too much gap for OCI, even with synthetic.

90K miles of ownership on the G, huh? Good for you!

Probably a bit of exaggeration on the miles between oil changes too.....I do have my oil change maintenance alarm set to 6500 and I always drive a few more miles before I put it in for the change. I like Mobil1 0W-40.

Yes she's been a great car for all 90K I've put on her. I'm the 2nd owner and purchased her after she came off a 24mo lease. I'm currently sitting on 117K and haven't had anything major go wrong during my ownership, except these annoying brakes........

I did have all 4 wheels stripped and powdercoated as a car wash I used to frequent was doing a great job of stripping the OEM paint off. Wheels America here in Houston did a great job of that, and I did it in conjunction with my local Discount Tire shop as the car was in for 4 new shoes and I had the TPMS sensors replaced at the same time.

Quick question, what kind of pads are you running? Ceramic or Semi-metallic? Could be your pads causing the issue also, I am running centric posi ceramic pads. It's good on regular drives, and if you want to do some back roads, just get the pads warmed up and it will stop on a dime.

Sorry; no idea what type of pads - they're OEM or whatever the dealer chose to install. I have really been hands off of this car which is very unusual for me. But it's my DD too.......
