Snapped a banjo bolt on the front caliper.
anyone know the torque spec of the banjo bolt?
i think the brake fluid made me over do it.
pls haaalp.
im so close to being done.
Been there done that... On my motorcycle when I installed SS lines. It used a double banjo bolt at the lever master. I used a torque wrench.
Second time around, i used the torque spec good'n'tight. No issues... Sold the bike 5 years later with 80+K miles. 12 ft lb isn't very tight. About as tight as the spec was on the bike I think. Main goal is to keep it from leaking and/or going loose.
I got lucky. When it snapped somehow to torque backout the portion stuck in the caliper and i was able to easly unscrew that. New banjo should be here in the morning.
^^Ditto too. There was a tiny bit of out sticking out. Was around to undo gently by hand. Annoying when you try to follow directions but end up breaking things.
